'Wall Street Journal' names VPs of circulation, production

New York--The Wall Street Journal announced Wednesday that Michael F. Sheehan, VP-production, has been named senior VP-circulation for the newspaper. He succeeds Tom Hetzel, who has served in that role since June 2000.

Larry Hoffman, currently production director, succeeds Sheehan as VP-production. Both appointments are effective Jan. l, 2004.

Sheehan, a 33-year veteran of Dow Jones & Co., led the $225 million project to expand the Journal's page and color capacity.

The Journal also announced that Liberta Abbondante, currently VP-circulation at Forbes, will join the Journal as VP-circulation marketing on Jan. 1.
