New York—Dow Jones & Co.’s The Wall Street Journal Online announced Tuesday that Raleigh, N.C.-based Summus has developed a mobile edition of the Web site, which will be available beginning in early 2005.

The subscription price is $3.99 a month.

The Wall Street Journal Mobile will provide business and financial news from the Online Journal directly to a cell phone.

The new service will be available on both BREW and Java 2 Micro Edition platforms, and the application will be downloadable to phones from the carriers’ wireless application catalogs.
