Warc: Global marketing conditions show gains

London—Global marketing budgets, trading conditions and staffing levels continue to experience growth, according to marketing information company Warc, with its Warc Global Marketing Index rising to 52.9 in April, up from 52.4 in March. A GMI reading of 50 represents no change in global marketing conditions. A score of 60 indicates rapid growth, and a score below 50 marks a decline. The Americas continues to be the most positive region, with a GMI budget level of 54.8, with Asia-Pacific at 53.3 and Europe holding steady at 50.5. In addition, Warc's index of staffing levels remains positive at 57.3 globally. Regional index values stood at 59.6 for the Americas, 56.5 for Europe and 55.5 for Asia-Pacific. The index for global trading conditions also continued to indicate global growth in April, at 59.1, with marketers in the Americas the most confident (61.8), followed by Europe (58.2) and Asia-Pacific (56.4).
