Warc lowers global ad spending forecast

London—Warc, a marketing information company, revised its “International Advertising Forecast” for global ad spending to 3.2% growth this year, down from a March forecast of 4.6% growth. In a statement, the company said debt issues in the U.S. and Europe are endangering the fragile economic recovery. Warc predicts the annual growth rate of ad spending will reach 5.7% in 2012.
