Washington Post, Dow Jones join forces

Published on .

Washington--Stories from The Washington Post will start appearing in the European and Asian versions of The Wall Street Journal under a deal between the Post and Dow Jones & Co., publisher of The Journal. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Post has been seeking foreign distribution of its stories since The New York Times bought out the Post's stake in the International Herald Tribune, the Paris-based newspaper that had been co-owned by the Post and the Times since 1991. The Times acquired the Post's stake in October.
