New York—Private-equity firm Wasserstein & Co. last week announced that it has retained Credit Suisse as its exclusive financial adviser to assist in exploring strategic options, including a possible sale, for its investment in ALM, a b-to-b media company catering to legal and business professionals. ALM, which was formed in 1997, publishes 34 national and regional magazines, including The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, The National Law Journal
and Real Estate Forum
