Atlanta—Weather Channel Cos. has named Curt Hecht chief global revenue officer, a new position. Hecht was most recently CEO of Publicis Groupe's VivaKi Nerve Center in Paris. At the Weather Channel, Hecht will oversee the company's international business and lead digital and cable ad sales. He will report to Chairman-CEO David Kenny, a co-founder of digital agency VivaKi. “The Weather Channel is one of the best media properties across three screens built on what marketers need and want—social, local and mobile assets. The focus now is on implementation and revenue growth,” Hecht said in a statement.
