WebTrends develops online tool to simplify data collection

Portland, Ore.—Web analytics company WebTrends has released an online tool designed to reduce the time and effort required to create accurate data collection tags.

A free utility, WebTrends TagBuilder allows analytics users to integrate conversion tracking with WebTrends Ad Director, an automated search marketing optimization service; create cookies compliant with the U.S. Office of Management & Budget policies for federal government Web sites; and access automated click-event tracking for a variety of Web site components, including download and offsite links.
