WebTrends, ExactTarget partner to measure e-mail campaigns

San Jose, Calif.—WebTrends, a Web-based analytics unit of NetIQ Corp., and e-mail software provider ExactTarget on Monday announced a partnership to integrate their respective technology to enable marketer clients to track e-mail campaign performance.

WebTrends SmartView, which tracks click-throughs, commerce, conversions and revenue, will be "superimposed," the companies said, on each ExactTarget e-mail link so that marketers can easily see how the campaigns perform by clicking a button that displays results above the e-mail creative on the marketers' PCs.
