Ex-White House press secretary joins Oracle

Published on .

Redwood Shores, Calif.--Former White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart is joining Oracle Corp. as a senior VP. Lockhart, who was press secretary during the Monica Lewinsky scandal and resigned in October, will report directly to Chairman-CEO Larry Ellison. Oracle did not release the actual job responsibilities of Lockhart, who served as a deputy White House press secretary and as a spokesman for President Clinton's 1996 re-election campaign after holding top public relations posts at companies including ABC Inc. "Joe will help us clearly and broadly communicate the benefits of e-business and e-government," Ellison said in a prepared statement.
