Whiting to head VNU media measurement group

Haarlem, the Netherlands—VNU announced Wednesday that Susan D. Whiting has been named exec VP of the company’s media measurement and information group.

She will succeed Mike Connors, who recently announced that he is leaving the company, as head of the MMI group on April 4. Whiting is currently president-CEO of Nielsen Media Research.

In a related move, VNU said that Michael Marchesano, president-CEO of VNU Business Media U.S., will lead Nielsen Entertainment, which will remain a division of MMI, to "help drive deeper harmonization and greater collaboration among the entertainment segments of VNU’s businesses," according to a press release. Marchesano will remain head of VNU Business Media U.S.
