New York—Wicks Medical Information announced Friday it has completed its acquisition of DesignWrite, which specializes in health care communications, publishing and medical education.
Terms of the deal, which included PharmaWrite, were not disclosed.
DesignWrite’s staff of science writers, editors and project managers provides content to support integrated marketing strategies.
Michael Tansey, president of Wicks Medical Information, said in a statement, "The company’s staff of experienced writers, working in tandem with WMI’s existing education company, Medical Education Consultants, and Jobson Publishing, a separate pending acquisition, will give us significant breadth and depth in a variety of therapeutic areas. The combination of these three companies will make WMI one of the leading medical information providers in the U.S."
Privately held DesignWrite was represented in the transaction by Tucker Capital Corp. Berkery, Noyes & Co. acted as adviser to WMI.
