WPP buys integrated agency VML Inc.

London--WPP Group plc has bought VML Inc., a Kansas City, Mo.-based integrated marketing agency. VML, which had 2000 billings of $114 million, has b-to-b clients including American Express Co. and Sprint Corp. unit Sprint Business. VML, which also has offices in New York, Dallas and Minneapolis, will retain its brand.
