San Francisco—WPP Group announced a strategic investment in VideoEgg Inc., a video ad network for online communities. Financial terms were not disclosed. The investment reflects WPP’s commitment to exploring social media and user-generated content, the agency said. VideoEgg's ad network, Eggnetwork, allows advertisers to integrate advertising into video content on social media sites. The network includes more than 60 social networks with more than 15 million unique visitors a month.
