WPP’s GroupM adds IEG to its stable

New York—WPP Group's GroupM division, which oversees the operations of MediaCom, Mediaedge:cia and MindShare, said it has acquired IEG, a Chicago-based publisher of newsletters and data about sponsorships and event marketing. Financial terms were not disclosed. Media investment bank DeSilva & Phillips represented IEG in the transaction.
