Wunderman taps Wheaton as its first CMO

Published on .

New York—Wunderman has named Trish Wheaton to be its first CMO, responsible for new business and brand stewardship. She had been interim COO of Wunderman’s U.K. office. As CMO, Wheaton will be based in Toronto.

“Trish’s challenge is formidable,” said David Sable, vice chairman-COO of Wunderman, in a statement. “We’ve asked her to find Wunderman’s next large multinational account, like Microsoft. Trish will put the entire Wunderman network, and our ties to WPP, to work to cultivate business leads and turn them into profitable global accounts.”

In addition, Brendan Tansey was named CEO of Wunderman’s U.K. operation, effective in January. Tansey was formerly CEO of Euro RSCG in Sydney, Australia.

Stewart Pearson was named chief client officer and will serve as global client lead for Nokia, the agency said. He was previously global client lead for the agency’s global Microsoft account.
