‘The Beat’ publisher agrees to acquisition by ProMedia.travel

New York—Business Travel Beat, which owns travel business newsletter “The Beat,” on Thursday signed a letter of intent to be acquired by ProMedia.travel, a recently created media company.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

ProMedia.travel said it intends to generate qualified prospects and leads for travel industry marketers through the April launch of new online publications including “Management.trave”l and “The Transnational.”

ProMedia.travel was founded by longtime business travel publishing executives Tim Reid, president-CEO of the new firm; Jay Campbell, founder of Business Travel Beat; and David Jones, former Business Travel News senior editor.
