Chicago—Chief Learning Officer Monday announced the establishment of CLO Academy, a partnership with Capella University to create a course of study for workforce learning and development professionals.
Through the CLO Academy, learning professionals can achieve certification in three areas of workforce development management and then apply to a degree program at Capella University. The three tracks are learning leadership, learning management and learning effectiveness.
“It’s a totally unique program,” said Norm Kamikow, president-editor in chief of MediaTec Publishing, which publishes Chief Learning Officer. “It’s not only an academic program developed by a credible university but also brings the information into a level of in-person study that will be led by the biggest names in the industry, such as the CLO from IBM and Wal-Mart.”
