‘Financial Times’ appoints Freeland as U.S. managing editor

New York—The Financial Times has named Chrystia Freeland as U.S. managing editor, succeeding Lionel Barber, who was appointed Financial Times editor earlier this month. Freeland has moved up the ranks at FT, including stints as weekend editor and editor of FT.com. She was previously deputy editor of the Globe & Mail in Toronto.
