New York—The New York Times announced it is expanding its “Automobiles” section that runs on Sundays by adding three half-pages of new editorial content. The enhanced section will debut this coming Sunday.

On Monday, the Times will launch a redesigned Automobiles section at NYTimes.com to complement the expanded print section. The online section will carry exclusive content, such as additional car reviews, added video features, a national directory of car clubs and an interactive events calendar.

Topics for the expanded pages within the print section, which will rotate on a regular basis, include “GreenTech,” which will focus on environmental issues; “Wheelspin,” news for car enthusiasts interested in motor sports, auto clubs, rallies and driving schools; and “Technology,” which will feature news on topics such as car electronics, tire innovations and new transmission designs.
