‘New York Times’ picks Buryk as senior VP-advertising

New York—The New York Times has promoted Alexis Buryk to senior VP-advertising, from group VP-advertising. She succeeds Jyll Holzman, who resigned for personal reasons. Buryk, who as group VP-ad sales since 2001 oversaw advertising for The New York Times Magazine and multiple advertising categories for the newspaper, will now be responsible for all advertising sales for the newspaper.
