New York—The New York Times announced that on May 16 it will introduce a redesigned "Business Day" section. It will be the first major redesign for the section since 1995.
The changes, which affect the Monday through Saturday sections, include expanded editorial content, new graphics and new columnists.
The newspaper said its "Saturday Business Day" section will have added editorial coverage on personal finance and a new column by Joseph Nocera, who recently joined the newspaper from Fortune magazine. "Business Digest" will move off the front page of the section and "Company Briefs" will be discontinued.
Monday editions will include a column by David Carr on new media.
