Xchange to handle Ask Jeeves e-mail in UK

Published on .

Boston--Customer relationship management specialist Xchange Inc. said Wednesday that it has closed a deal with Ask Jeeves UK to provide the software for its e-mail marketing efforts. The deal calls for Ask Jeeves to license Exchange's eMessaging ASP brand of Internet services for delivering personalized, permission-based e-mail to business users and consumers. By tapping the ASP model, which charges a subscription fee for on-going services, Ask Jeeves avoids the cost of licensing enterprise software, and the staffing requirements required to maintain an application in house. With its volume, the Ask Jeeves deal will provide a proof point for Xchange's ability to handle high-volume e-mail marketing campaigns.
