Published on .

New York—In one of the largest marketing venture capital fundings this year, digital and direct marketing company XL Marketing Corp. has gained a $70 million investment from private equity company GCP Capital Partners. XL Marketing's multichannel marketing platform primarily serves companies in the financial services, insurance, health and education fields. The funding will be used to fuel XL Marketing's continued growth through organic business activities and strategic acquisitions, according to the company. In one of the few capital investments surpassing that, photo-sharing site Pinterest raised $100 million last month, raising its total underwriting to $137.5 million.
