Yahoo acquires video chat startup OnTheAir

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo Inc. has acquired video chat broadcasting app OnTheAir. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. OnTheAir enables content producers to webcast single or split-screen interviews. OnTheAir's five employees will work with Yahoo's mobile division in San Francisco. OnTheAir will no longer operate as a standalone product. The deal marks the second Yahoo acquisition since Marissa Mayer took charge as CEO in July. In October, Yahoo acquired mobile recommendations app Stamped for an undisclosed price.
