Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo Inc. has acquired video chat broadcasting app OnTheAir. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
OnTheAir enables content producers to webcast single or split-screen interviews. OnTheAir's five employees will work with Yahoo's mobile division in San Francisco. OnTheAir will no longer operate as a standalone product.
The deal marks the second Yahoo acquisition since Marissa Mayer took charge as CEO in July. In October, Yahoo acquired mobile recommendations app Stamped for an undisclosed price.
