Yahoo to add do not track feature

Published on .

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo Inc. is planning to introduce a do not track feature that will enable users to opt out of behavioral tracking by advertisers. The feature will be available on all Yahoo sites by summer as well as the company's Right Media ad exchange and interclick ad tech and services unit. This week, the Federal Trade Commission released its final report on Internet privacy, recommending that browsers and sites deploy universal do not track practices or face possible federal legislation.
