Yahoo! said its Content Acquisition Program will allow content providers to provide Web pages directly to Yahoo!'s search index. Site Match, the commercial paid inclusion component of the new program, will be available on a subscription or full-service basis directly from Overture and through resellers such as Go Toast, Performics, Marketleap and Network Solutions.
"It's an ongoing dialogue between the content provider and the search engine," said Chris Bolte, VP-strategic alliances at Overture. The Content Acquisition Program also has a non-commercial channel, Public Site Match, for non-commercial content providers such as governments, schools and non-profit organizations.
