Yahoo to combine search, display ad teams

Published on .

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo announced Sunday that it will combine its search and display advertising sales teams in the U.S. and has appointed David Karnstedt, senior VP-search sales, as head of North American sales.

Yahoo said the move continues the steps it has taken since January to organize product management, engineering and distribution around marketing customers rather than advertising products.

As part of the reorganization, Wenda Harris Millard, Yahoo’s chief sales officer in the U.S., has left the company. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia put out a press release Sunday announcing Millard will join the company as president-media on July 16.
