Yahoo enters exclusive ad deal with Bebo

London—Yahoo announced an exclusive partnership with Bebo to manage display advertising on the social networking Web site in Britain and Ireland.

Under the agreement, Yahoo gets to sell the majority of display and video advertising on Bebo. The site has an estimated 11.6 million users in Britain and Ireland, and 38 million users worldwide.

The Yahoo-Bebo deal comes as an increasing number of business professionals join social networking Web sites. Google and Microsoft Corp. have advertising partnerships with MySpace and Facebook, respectively.
