Published on .

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo announced it has hired Joanne Bradford, a former Microsoft Corp. executive, as senior VP-U.S. revenue and market development.

Bradford was most recently exec VP-national advertising services for Spot Runner, a Web TV ad agency, a position she had held since March. Before that, she was corporate VP-chief media officer of Microsoft Corp.’s MSN.

In her newly created position, Bradford will oversee sales and market development for Yahoo's advertisers and small-business and HotJobs business units.

Yahoo also announced that David Karnstedt, senior VP-U.S. sales, will leave the company on Sept. 16 to pursue an opportunity with a Silicon Valley venture capital firm.
