Yahoo launches Web visibility tool for SMBs

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo Inc. has released Localworks, a tool aimed at small-to-midsize companies for improving their online visibility and reputation across multiple websites. Companies can use Localworks to fix incorrect or incomplete listings around the Web and to create new listings. The tool then pushes the listings out to more than 40 directories across the Web, Yahoo said in a statement. Localworks is part of a Yahoo plan to introduce additional advertising tools for the small-business community this year, said Tom Byun, VP-small business at Yahoo, in a Tumblr post.
