Yahoo opens global media review

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo has opened a global review of its traditional and digital media planning and buying accounts, according to Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB.

A Yahoo spokesman told Ad Age, “We are conducting a review as part of normal business practice to determine the best partner for Yahoo going forward.”

Traditional media buying is handled by Mindshare, while digital media buying is handled by Neo; both agencies, part of the WPP network, are based in New York.

The Yahoo spokesman told Ad Age. it is looking for a media agency with “a strong West Coast presence.”
