Yahoo! projects 22% rise in fourth-quarter ad revenue

New York--Yahoo Inc. on Thursday forecast strong revenue growth this year, with at least a 22% increase in ad revenue for the fourth quarter compared with the fourth quarter last year. At a media investor conference hosted by Credit Suisse First Boston on Thursday, Yahoo executives said they expect revenue to rise by 30% in 2002 and by 20% in 2003, roughly in line with previous projections. Yahoo has said it expects revenue of $930 million to $955 million in 2002, up from $717 million in 2001. For 2003, Yahoo has predicted revenue of $1.08 billion to $1.18 billion.
