Yahoo unveils new mobile ad formats

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Yahoo has introduced three new mobile ad formats designed to foster engagement with mobile users.

The first, called Yahoo Mobile Screen Takeover ads, are custom ad units that stay with users as they scroll up and down pages on mobile devices.

The second, Yahoo Mobile Customized Expandable ads, cover two-thirds of the screen on the mobile device, allowing advertisers to incorporate such options as lead-capture tools, graphics, social media features and polls.

Finally, iPad Tap-to-Video ads are mobile ads that users can tap to expand the ad, unveiling a full-page canvas.
