The ads are appearing in bus shelters, on taxi roofs, on street poles and in phone kiosks throughout New York.
A key component of the campaign is the collaboration of businesses that are members of NYC & Co., Hogikyan said.
For example, American Express is underwriting maps featuring stores and restaurants that will be participating in Fashion's Night Out. The maps will be passed out by street teams on Thursday.
American Express is also partnering with more than 70 New York restaurants to offer special deals from Thursday to Sept. 18 in honor of Fashion's Night Out and Fashion Week.
In addition, Gray Line New York is offering free rides on its double-decker buses, several of which will be wrapped with Fashion Night Out advertising coordinated by NYC & Co. and underwritten by Payless Shoes.
“This really brings together the entire community,” Hogikyan said, noting that all five boroughs of New York will be participating in the event.
“This has been unprecedented in terms of collaboration between all these businesses,” he added. “It is something we are doing for the good of everyone, and collaboration has been a primary objective.”
