New York Times Co. advertising revenue down 16.2% in July

New York—The New York Times Co. announced Tuesday that total revenue from continuing operations decreased 10.1% in July compared with the same month last year.

Advertising revenue decreased 16.2%, and circulation revenue declined 0.5%.

Total Internet revenue grew 2.6%, and Internet advertising revenue increased 5.5% in July. Internet businesses include,, and other company Web sites.
