New York Times buys ‘North Bay Business Journal’

New York—The New York Times Co. announced it has acquired North Bay Business Journal, a weekly publication covering California’s Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties. The publication has a circulation of 9,000. The New York Times also owns The Santa Rose Press Democrat in the same region. "We see the acquisition as an ideal venture between The Press Democrat and the Business Journal," said Ken Clark, who remains as publisher of the Business Journal . Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the next few weeks, were not disclosed.
