New York Times Co. to cut about 125 jobs at its New England Media Group

New York—The New York Times Co. said Thursday that it will cut about 125 jobs at its New England Media Group, including 19 editorial staff at the Boston Globe, through voluntary buyouts and outsourcing. There are about 412 newsroom employees at the Globe and about 2,200 employees in the New England Media Group. The job cuts do not affect the Globe’s online companion, Boston.com.
