New York—The New York Times Co. announced Wednesday that it plans to cut 190 employees by the end of August at The New York Times and the New England Media Group, which includes the Boston Globe. The company said the staff reduction represents less than 2% of its total work force. "Fewer than two dozen" of the job cuts will come from the Times’ newsroom, according to a press release.
