New York Times earnings fall

Published on .

New York—The New York Times Co. Thursday reported first-quarter earnings fell 26% to $23.9 million, from $32.4 million a year earlier. It attributed the decline, in part, to weakness in print advertising. Revenue declined 2% to $786 million, from $799.2 million. Advertising revenue fell 3.4%, while circulation revenue rose 1%.
