New York Times Co., Monster Worldwide form recruitment advertising alliance

Published on .

New York—The New York Times Co. and Monster Worldwide, which runs online job site Monster.com, Wednesday announced a strategic alliance that combines the Times Co.’s news and local Web sites with Monster’s recruitment services. Under the terms of the deal, 19 of the Times Co.’s newspaper Web sites, including those of The Boston Globe, The New York Times and Worcester Telegram & Gazette, will co-brand their online recruitment advertising sites with Monster. The co-branded sites, scheduled to roll out in March, will run both national and local job postings. Monster.com’s resume database adds 40,000 resumes each day, the companies said. —Matthew Schwartz
