New York—Boosted by revenue from its About.com division, the New York Times Co. Wednesday reported that its October ad revenue increased 4.8%, while total company revenue rose 2.5% compared with October 2004. Excluding About.com, which was acquired in March, ad revenue increased 2.3% and total company revenue increased 0.7%. The New York Times
posted ad revenue of $241.7 million, up from $230.5 million in October 2004. Circulation, however, fell 1.4%.
