New York--Young & Rubicam has combined the domestic and international operations of The Media Edge, its media services company, into a single global unit. Previously, the domestic and international units were separate entities. Y&R combined The Media Edge's operations to reflect the global nature of the unit's business; two-thirds of its $10 billion in billings this year came from outside the U.S. The new unit, named The Media Edge Worldwide, counts among its b-to-b clients Citigroup, Andersen Consulting and AT&T Corp. The Media Edge Worldwide is based in New York, with 63 offices worldwide. No layoffs or other restructuring changes were announced.
