Young succeeds Callahan as CEO of Ziff Davis Media

Published on .

New York—Jason Young has been named CEO of Ziff Davis Media. Young, who was previously president of Ziff Davis’ Consumer/Small Business Group, succeeds Bob Callahan, who will remain chairman of Ziff Davis. Callahan had been CEO since 2001 and is credited with helping the company stave off bankruptcy. The executive change comes on the heels of the July 31 close of Insight Venture Partners’ acquisition of Ziff Davis’ Enterprise Group for $150 million in cash, with another potential $10 million depending on the group’s performance. With the sale of the Enterprise Group, Ziff Davis has essentially exited the b-to-b market.
