Ziff Davis debuts software comparison suite of products

New York—Ziff Davis Media on Tuesday announced the launch of Technology Information, Products & Services, a new suite of research products and tools intended for IT professionals who evaluate, recommend or buy enterprise software.

TIPS-IT, which can be found on the Web at www.tips-it.com, is a collection of product comparison information designed to help IT professionals assess a software application’s features, identify vendors, compare technology and acquire product specifications.

TIPS-IT enterprise software guides usually cost $249 to $399 per report, and each report typically compares 10 to 15 vendors and 300 to 450 separate features and functions. The latest TIPS-IT report, "Product Comparison Guide to Wireless Access Systems," includes 12 enterprise search products with more 350 features and functions.

"Ziff Davis created TIPS-IT because IT professionals spend a significant amount of their productive time gathering, formatting and presenting product and vendor information—time that can be better used analyzing and evaluating solutions," Jasmine Alexander, exec VP-general manager of TIPS-IT, said in a statement.
