Ziff Davis Enterprise hires three executives

New York—Ziff Davis Enterprise, publisher of eWeek magazine, announced Thursday that it has hired three key executives: Matthew Sweeney will be president-sales and marketing; Peggy Schecter, VP-eastern regional sales manager; and Eric Lundquist, VP-strategic content.

“We have spent the last year successfully working our vision for audience engagement and building a new infrastructure for audience marketing. We have also developed an impressive arsenal of innovative new products that engages our audience more effectively and provides a better return on investment for our clients,” said Steve Weitzner, CEO of Ziff Davis Enterprise, in a statement. “With these valuable additions to our team we have closed the loop—strengthening our ability to leverage and scale these advances to drive increased value and loyalty for both our readers and our clients.”

Sweeney, formerly CEO of the Computerworld and InfoWorld brands at International Data Group, will work with Senior VP-Sales Dave Colford and Senior VP-Integrated Marketing/Client Services Josh Heitsenrether. Schecter most recently had been a sales exec at UBM’s TechWeb, spending more than15 years at United Business Media and its predecessor companies. Lundquist returns to Ziff Davis Enterprise as VP-strategic content from IDG. In his previous stint at Ziff Davis, he was editor in chief of eWEEK and editor at large for CIO Insight.
