Ziff Davis launches PC Magazine online

Published on .

New York--Ziff Davis Internet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ziff Davis Media Inc., on Monday launched PC Magazine online. The flagship publication is the first business Web site of the 11 Ziff Davis magazine sites that are being returned to the company from CNET Networks Inc. and ZDNet Inc. under the terms of an agreement reached earlier this year. Ziff Davis will share the online rights to the print content of PC Magazine with CNET Networks through March 2002. PC Magazine online features completely new content, a new editorial team and a new look to distinguish itself from its print counterpart. The launch comes on the heels of the ExtremeTech.com site, which was introduced in June, and underscores Ziff's strategy to expand its presence on the Web.
