Ziff Davis Media to shutter print version of ‘PC Magazine’

Published on .

New York—Ziff Davis Media announced Wednesday that it is discontinuing the print version of its flagship PC Magazine.

The company said the final print version will be the January 2009 issue. The PCMag Network will be renamed PCMag Digital Network with PCMag.com as its lead property.

Ziff Davis said PCMag Digital Network has more than 7 million unique monthly visitors, reaching 10 times the circulation of the print publication.

"Moving our flagship property to an all-digital format is the final step in an evolutionary process that has been playing out over the last seven years," Jason Young, CEO of Ziff Davis Media, said in a statement.
