New York—Bart Catalane, president-COO of Ziff Davis, has resigned from the technology publisher, effective at the end of the month, the company confirmed.

Catalane will remain on Ziff’s board of directors. His departure comes after Derek Irwin left as CFO last August to join VNU.

Randy Zane, VP-corporate communications for Ziff Davis, said the company recently reorganized into three operating groups—consumer/small business, game and enterprise—each with its own president.

Catalane’s departure comes as Ziff struggles with declining print revenue, which fell 10% in the third quarter last year compared with the same period in 2004. However, online revenue was up 23% during the same period. Fourth-quarter numbers are due out soon.
