New York—Ziff Davis Holdings, the parent company of Ziff Davis Media, Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $29.5 million, compared with a loss of $20.4 million in the year-earlier period.
Consolidated revenues for the second quarter totaled $45.3 million, a 12% decrease from $51.3 million a year earlier.
Ziff Davis posted EBITDA of $3.1 million for the second quarter, a 67% decrease from $9.5 million for the prior year period.
The company attributed the declines to softness in print advertising, particularly at PC Magazine. Revenue for the company’s enterprise group, which includes eWeek magazine, totaled $19.7 million for the second quarter, a 2% increase from $19.3 million in the same period last year. The increase was primarily related to higher online revenues for advertising, e-seminars and virtual trade shows.
